speed varies 2 - 3 mph but speedo doesn't
I just picked up an 82 500SEC euro and on the way home I noticed that my gps would show 2 - 3 mph change, at 70 or so, but the speedo did not change until the gps speed changed by about 4 mph. Any one ever check your speedo against a gps unit and seen this or is my electronic C126 speedo wacked?

technology marches on.in the 80's that was close enough at 70mph.but let me pose a question: how do you know that the gps is accurate.

Based on speed cameras and whenever I use a GPS, my speedometer is 2-3 mph slower than my actual speed. I don't really think anything of it.

I'm guessing that if gps technology is good enough to put a missile down a smokestack then it's judgement of speed is pretty good too. But I really don't know, just curious.
