Pull the Trans
After removing the drive shaft to relpace both flex disc and center support and the B-2 piston, I really feel it is easier just to pull the trans and reseal all exterior seal including pump gasket and seal.Trans operated fine, but leaked.
This vehicle 84 500 sel has been sitting for years, a lot of dry rot on rubber, only 120000 miles. Have completely rebuilt the front and all brakes. Got to keep this car "FOREVER" as it was my sisters who died of Pacreatic Cancer a few years ago at 57 at home. No chemo, radiation or hospitals. She just prayed for a miracle from God.Now she is an Angel. Should I do the K1 update or is this a stupid question. Thanks for any feedback and listening! God Bless John |

My Mom died from about the same thing, and in about the same way. I drive her and dad's old 190 now. Old Benzes seem to cruise on longer than their original owners.
If you are going to pull the trans, you might as well go through the whole thing and do it right the first [and only] time. |
