Question Gasket removal?

What is a good product to remove fiber gasket. It's not on car but on air comperessor.

Needs to be chemical as I have no air right now.

I just used some goof off I already had and it disolved the gasket fine. I was not concerned with damaging compressor the gasket was on cast steel, I just did not want to work hard at scraping.
