AC DILEMA!!! Please help!
I have a 1986 300 E. It has a AC issue which the complete system has been checked for pressure and for freon.
It doesnt want to get cold, and I have researched and found out a few things- First there is no aux water pump, as it has been by passed as it seems someone has also bypassed the heater core. OK thats no big deal as i would never use the heater (In SFLA). So there now is a reason why the AC will almost blow cold, when it used to all the time. Like a dummy one day, I spun the temp wheel to the hot and hit the defroster button for a minute or so. When I spun the wheel back, it would not get cold. I know it sounds easy and possibly there is a person here who could give me some advise as it is hotter than a hooker in church down here and I just hope any advise is available![]() Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

If the heater core is bypasssed then no heat should be in the car to keep it from getting cold.
Search the forums but I bet your freon is low. Look up ps2cho thread as he redid his whole a/c. at 2k rpms low side pressure should be 35 psi with compressor engaged. |
