Manual trans + cruise control + neutral safety
How does a stock setup handle the clutch? I recently converted my 87 over to 5speed and everything is pretty hunky dory. I noticed today that if I hit the clutch with cc on, engine revs (as expected). Obv I can "live" with this but it sure would be nice to have it working? Also does the switch on the clutch handle the neutral safety or the cc? My brake has two plugs on it, one big two prong and one small two prong. I was told on the 201 (where it came from) one is for the lights and other is CC. This leads me to believe that they changed the CC later on to not use the brake lights as the kill switch?

From the factory there would be another switch on the clutch to cancel the cruise. I think I saw it in the wiring diagram. I can dig it up if you like.
The cruise uses both switches on the brake pedal. The brake light check is a backup. -Jason

Memory says that there is no neutral safety switch on the clutch pedal, only the cc. That's the way it was on a stock 1986 190D with factory 5 spd. Also same on a 1987 300E 5 spd conversion that used 1986 300E pedal cluster.
