1995 s500 (w140) right front mirror wont go all way down unless door open!
This is a weird problem I am having. My front passanger side mirror won't go all the way down unless the passanger side door is open. If the door is open, it will go down on express or hold mode with no problems and go up with no problems..But I want to fix it back to normal so I dont have to have my door open just to bring down the mirror..
Can someone tell me how to do this.. Thanks |

You say mirror but don't you mean the window glass?
There is a separate circuit to power the windows with the ingition off and the door open. Since the window seems to work fine when this circuit is active, this suggests that there is a poor connection on the normal ignition controlled circuit. This could be a corroded connector, a chafed wire or a dodgy fuse. I'd check the fuse first, and replace it even if it looks OK since they can deteriorate and this is easy and cheap to do.
