mercedes 300se question

hi..i have a question my 93 300se and its making some clicking noise in the rear end and ideals what that noise could be thanks for the help.

could possibly be your axles or maybe your brakes?? when does the noise happen? during accel? cruising down the road? turning? at what speed or is noise constant with speed?

Or simply the stabilizer bar links ,when worn they make a noise .made of plastic like material
