Help with misfire 92 500 SEL
I recently bought a 92 500 sel. Car runs great! no CEL or anything. Wires (Febi) new, plugs look good, caps and rotors look good. I checked everything I read about here - but at idle (P, N, or D) it will "pop" through the exhaust. Motor does not shake no vibration in car at all. just a stumble and pop.
Any ideas? Thanks |

Of course using a scope to monitor the secondary ignition system,
scanner to watch live data, or an infrared heat gun to watch exhaust temps on each of the exhaust manifold runners would be a starting point.

Thanks
Of course, a scope, if I had one and had even a remote clue as to how to use it
Thanks |

I'd start by building the flash code reader and checking the 38 pin connector. There's a pretty good chance you'd find a clue there.
