Window bumps up and down

The rear passenger side window ob my 84 300D goes up and down but not smoothly. It bumps up and down about a half inch increment and does go all the way up and down with no problem except the bumping in increments. Anyone experienced this? Any ideas appreciated.

Thanks,
Harry

id have to agree sounds like the window regulator is not operating smoothly, was there anything that could have caused this condition, maybe closing the window on something or trying to close or open it while it was frozen shut from ice and snow? id attempt to bend it a little first if that doesnt work you can find one fairly cheap on e-bay,goodluck.

Try a little vaseline in the window runners to see if it helps.

Visually regulator, or the lifting mechanism is broken or disconnected. A temporary solution faster than that required door interior trim panel to be removed for access to the window and its lifting mechanism.
