WOOW!! Big knocking on E420

Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum although I have found some very good help through it for my 95' E420 in the past. Anyway's if someone could help shed some light on a DM code 25 that recently came up I would appreciate it. This happened recently, and this is how it occurred: I headed out for work and about 5 minutes into my drive I got to a stoplight and floored it on Green. The car reached 5K r.p.m. and hesitated to shift and it felt as if it were redlining for some reason, I tapped the pedal once, it shifted, I hit 65 then came to a stop at the next light. At that point the car began to knock like a champion, I thought the engine was going to shut down. I kept driving slow after that and eventually the knocking leveled out until it disappeared.

When I got to work I turned the engine of, turned it back on again, it started right up running normal, that was when the CEL came on. I checked it and it gave me Code #25, the KS..

Does anyone have some info. as to why this may have been triggered? What caused the car to lag that first time when I floored it and if any other malfunctions could trigger a code 25?

The car runs fine right now, but any time I want to floor it it does a repeat of what happened that first time at the Green light.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

DH

Check the oil level of the motor and if there is any fuel in the oil this has been known to happen if there is to much oil in the pan.
