Question A shot in the dark.. EHA /AC connection

Any body care to speculate on why my AC will work only if my EHA is disconnected. I show no voltage to the EHA, no continuity in the wiring through the plug, yet when I plug it in , the AC compressor clutch won't engage. I have looked at the schematic for the compressor and see no connection. Also if I remove relay"D' from the rely box, the compressor will not work. This relay engages when the EHA is plugged in. According to the Service CD, relay "D" is for the headlight washer.

Could be problems in the wiring harness if it has one of those that decay and short out.

At first glance it appears that the relay is in the wrong slot. That could only mean that they have been removed for some reason. I found a loose 16 gauge wire near the fusebox that leads to the trunck. I suspect it went to a power amp under a previous owner. If that is the case, I may have a mess down there.

Stephen, I feel your pain.

What kind of car did you buy? You have had more than your fair share of problems with this vehicle.

I am coming to the conclusion that your car needs a priest instead of a mechanic.
