MAF voltage

I have a 1999, C280 V6.

What is the voltage across the MAF sensor? Is it 0-5 volts, 5-0 volts, or 0-8 volts.

I am working with a company to design a new MAF that will also use a piggyback controller to the stock ECU so that the air/fuel ratio can be altered along with the ignition timing.

Thanks,

Jeff
