89 560sel alignement question
I went to Firestone to get an alignment done on my 1989 560 SEL because it was pulling to the right.
The mechanic tells me he's not able to align the rear of the car because it's fixed and there's nothing to adjust in the rear for alignment. Is this true? from what i know, most mercedes can be adjust in the front and rear. what should i do? Thanks for anyone's help. |

Alignment
SEL;
Firestone is correct !,there are no adjustments on the rear suspension. If the car is out of spec. you may have to replace control arm bushings. Have them check the ride hieght also. M.F. |

There is a rod that connects to the level control valve above the differential. This rod alters the vehicles standing height. If it is not correctly set the suspension will be compensating either high or low and the ride will suffer.

It is true that there is no adjustment for the rear of teh w126 series, but I understand if it is out enough replacing some of the bushings will bring it back. This is best left to a Mercedes specialist.
