1997 S500 Surging about 2x a second got video

So far, on this car I replaced the MAF (it was reading 2.6 volts key on Engine off) replaced it with aftermarket MAF which reads .2 volts key on engine off. Reads solid 1 V at idle.
In an earlier post I mentioned that many users of the red/blu/blk wire weren't working, well someone disconnected the wiring (maybe PO when he replaced the right side doors due to a wreck.)
I was apparantly driving the car with a bad MAF and no volts to O2 sensors and air pump. Actually the engine was rather responsive in those conditions, running better with the CEL on (with 10 codes) than without the CEL on and no codes!)
Anyway, here's a video of starting and running with the surging. seems like something is oscillating at resonance because the surges become increasingly more drastic until the car stalls.

I must be getting good at fixing cars. when I first joined the forum, I asked a question, waited for a response and then fixed the problem. Now I ask a question, then fix the problem and say never mind.

anyone that watched the video and thought the big thick black plastic air line going to the left fender was disconencted wins the prize!!!
