Question 102 engine service details

Hi, All

I drive a 1993 200E (European) W124 sedan. I need to verify the timing chain and related hardware as part of my 'restoration' of this vehicle.

Can someone please supply me with the service intervals at which the chain should (have) be(en) checked / replaced ?

The car has 213 000 km (133 000 odd miles) on the odo.

I do not have any previous experience on this engine, but I can say that I do not have a noisy timing chain AFAIK.

Does this engine have the dual chain ? If not, can it be converted to the dual chain ?

Engine # is 10296360137084 FWIW.

TIA for any info / advice

L
