W126 rear upper SLS shock mounts?

Limited internet right now. Sorry if this has come up. But yesterday I was looking for a clunking sound in the back end that is greatly reduced when under load. Already checked springs, bushings and installed new sway bar link ends.

Next thought was what is a very common issue in a Mark VIII, the rear shock absorber bushings. But I looked in the trunk area above the wells and even removed the rear seat. But I do not see a location for them so far.

So is there some sort of bushing/mount for the upper end of the SLS absorber?
