Removing governor '91 300e

First, thanks to all who have gotten me to this point. '91 300e 2.6 with no upshift. Have lowered the transmission and exposed the governor, but can not get it to pull out. Does not budge. I have read that there is a ring that holds it in, but I do not see it on any of the diagrams or in there itself. On some diagrams there is a release on the opposite side of the transmission on the secondary pump cover. Mine does not have that. Does anyone have an idea of where the release may be on this model? I can see what looks like pieces of the gear inside the compartment and the governor moves freely so I'm pretty convinced this is what I need to fix. Any and all help is appreciated.

Found it

pmckechnie has posted several replys on this procedure and after searching these I found one where he mentioned looking past the weights and a clip being there. Its a large c-clip and you need to compress it to release the governor. Thats the good news. The bad news is that Mercedes sold me the wrong gear. Now I have to go back to town and get the right one. But at least now I'm on the way to completion.
