Question cruse control amps interchangeability

I’ve just visited a pick and pull yard for imports and WOW! It’s like a candy store for me. OK I got a part question:

1. I have a 87 190E 2.3.
2. For cruse control amps can they be interchangeable with other model and/or years?
3. I see some nice ones from W124 class and newer W201 but it has the coding plug on it and mine does not.

Thai GI sends...

As long as the coding plug will match your chasis and engine, you are ok. If not, it will not work.

All new controllers come this way. Worst case is you will have to buy new coding plug.
