1992 300SE W140 Speedometer Issue.....

I have a 92 300SE, I was having transmission issues so my buddy lent me his rack and I changed out my transmission with a Mercedes factory rebuild that I purchased from the dealership. Everything was fine after instullation, transmission shifted smooth as silk. I drove the car a time or two and didn't happen to see that the speedometer isn't working which in turn the odometer isn't working. I know both parts were working before the transmission swap. I got the car back on the lift today to make sure everything was hooked up properly and it was. How exactly does the speedometer work on this car? I checked fuses all seemed fine. I pulled the instrument cluster to make sure everything was hooked up properly. I hope something isn't wrong with the transmission, I spent the money for a factory rebuild so I would hopefully not have to worry about anything, then this happens. Other possibilities; faulty speedometer head, sensor at transmission? All help is appreciated.

For Tris135, No. You have a cluster problem.
