How do you remove side mirror glass from W202?

I searched here, and I searched on YouTube. I saw one video but it doesn't seem quite the same on my car. I believe I have to remove the "cover" from the mirror. I can see that the mirror can hinge both front and back. I know that there is a spring clip on the top of the back of the glass. How do I get the cover off?

Thanks

I'd like to know too!

I have 2 left side mirrors that I have to replace, a 2000 C230 and a 1999 C280.

Can anyone else view that video? When I click on it it is all crazy psychadelic... but no Grateful Dead soundtrack... I hope it's not the one I already saw.

Video is great! Thank you TX!

Now to track down a new/used one.

I did buy a new (Chinese) one from ebay seller www1carkr for $144 shipped. This was the entire unit with white housing. I emailed 2 past buyers and they said it was of reasonable quality so I gave him a try. The seller/liaison is here in Los Angeles. The source is China. The unit I received had a vertical streak in the mirror and I asked for a replacement. No response so ebay got involved and I shipped it to Los Angeles for an ebay refund.

Is removal similar on an E series of the same vintage?
