1993 500SL ASR light.........Pulled codes! What do these codes mean?

Car idles fine for around 30 sec. then ASR light comes on and car drops severely in idle and function. What are these codes pointing to?

Pin 4- 4

Pin 6- 10,11,30

Pin 7- 3,5,6,14

Pin 8- 5,6,12

I erased all codes, except on pin 4 I couldn't get it to clear. I restarted the car for a while and let it run. When I retested I had codes

Pin 6- 10 and Pin 7- 14. these two codes had already reappeared. My ASR light never went off even after resetting all the codes. All help is very appreciated.

Pin # 7 is the cause of the ASR lamp.
Code 3, is pointing to the throttle actuator.
Code 5, is for a bad brake lamp switch.
Code 6, is for a bad neutral safety switch.
Code 14, is about mis-adjusted accelerator cable OR bad switch on the gas pedal.

Wow, you've hit the jackpot. Every single one of those will send a car into "limp home". My car is the poster boy for this problem (still unsolved) :(

Here's the codes in "module" format . . "pins" confuse me ..

Module - Pin - Code# - Description
LH-SFI -- 4 ---- 4 --- Voltage at mass air sensor with hot wire circuit; open or short circuit

Base ---- 8 ---- 5 --- Maximum permissible temperature in module box exceeded
--------- 8 ---- 6 --- Electromagnetic a/c compressor clutch blocked
--------- 8 --- 12 --- Voltage supply for ABS control module, ABS/ASR control module or ASD control module interrupted

ABS ----- 6 --- 30 --- CAN data line to electronic accelerator/cruise control/ idle speed control module

EA/CC/ISC 7 ---- 3 --- Right EA/CC/ISC actuator (left cylinder bank) (M16/1)
--------- 7 ---- 5 --- Stop lamp switch (S9/1)
--------- 7 ---- 6 --- Starter lock-out/backup lamp switch
--------- 7 --- 14 --- Closed throttle position contact switch

Has the wiring harness been replaced . . ?? If so, it certainly looks like a going bad ETA or supporting 'switches".

Also the "LH" voltage is a strange code w/ an ETA failure. You may want to check it out . . .

What about a CEL?? Is it not lighted?? If so, check pin 19, there s/b some codes there.

Finally, read Menu#24 . . here

Check the smallest components first (brake switch, etc etc) as any single point of failure on these ASR lights will light up the codes like a christmas tree!

Ever solve this problem?

I'm getting the same thing (pin #7 3, 5,6, & 14), though no "limp mode"
drives normally except doesn't shift right under kick down WOT (wants to stay in that gear).

Can't clear ABS/ASR lights with simple 3 wire reader (at pin #7)
