I built it, read on......
I have found an owner in Buffalo NY that is going to take a CLK 55 to the upper limit of performance!
We are going to install the Kleeman intercooled supercharger, Kleeman 4 wheel brakes, 19" wheels, and the illuminated door sills. I can't wait.... We will keep you guys posted! |
Donnie,
So, I'm sure there will be rides for all at the grand opening, right?:D No! What do you mean No? Have a great day, Larry |
When does the car arrive at the shop? I'd love to see it "in progress" while I'm in town :).
|
The CLK55 arrived today. It has 3k miles on it. We put it on the dyno and it pulled just over 280 a the rear wheels! That number was a little higher than I expected....
Well, we are going to increase that significantly. |
Donnie one quick question, is it true that Kleemann is the only kit out there with a integrated water to air intercooler as part of the unit?
Also, any chance you you guys getting some video and audio coverage in the new shop of the transformation? This needs to be documented! :D Perfect time to give us MercedesShop members a "video" tour of the new facilities as well. That would be way cool. At least one full dyno run on audio, ....... pleassssseeeee? |
We will do more than that. We will have a complete build with pics and dyno results! I have already dyno'd the car for the before.
The owner has already called and added to the list. We are considering Nitrous and an internal roll bar with 4 point harnesses. This car will be truly outrageous! |
I must come see this project when it nears completion!
|
Now that sounds exciting. Next time I am in the area I would love to see the new shop and the new adventure.
Keep us posted Dwight |

woweee!!
Those curves are unbelievable!
I think I want one. I'm in NYC. What happens to mfg. warranty? Can I get a project quote? :p Thanks! |
MY e-mail is Benzmac@peachparts.com. Send me some contact information and I will be glad to quote.

Too cool! Now go spank some M5s!! :)
|
This car will suck the lights off of an M5.
I am more impressed every time I drive it. It has the smoothest power you have ever felt, but then again, if you hit the mat with the pedal, you should hold on tightly! At 30-40 mph, it will downshift and lay down rubber. I am going to have to build one for ME. HMMMMMM, I am thinking of a MercedesShop raffle to fund this. |
Dang it Donnie, if you'd have only worked a little longer each night, or a little faster, you could have taken me on one of them high power runs while I was there ;) :) :D.
In all honesty, the project is together much faster than I'd have imagined. I thought it wasn't scheduled to be ready for testing until next week. Don't forget to re-enforce the seat backs :D. Jeez, just looked at the update - almost 90MPH in 660 feet. WOW! |
Very Cool
I worship you from a far
