W126 ignition advance vacuum?

Or so I think it is. Still learning here, so bare with me. The flat thing with the various plugs on the driver side near ABS. BOSCH part. I dont think its the actual coil, is it? Well it has a vacuum line going to it. There is never a vacuum on that line, warm (110c) or cold (0c). Should there be? Or is vacuum advance at the distributor. If the thing even has vacuum advance...
