MPG 190e M103

I had never actually checked the MPG on the 190e 2.6L. I did a 300 mile round trip last weekend to the Equi-Fest. I was curious on what the M103 would get in it. I was running premium fuel as always, and I logged a 25 MPG for the trip. Is this in the realm of what they were supposed to get? I had never checked it before or the 2.3L I use to own previously. I, also, didn't know if they were rated somewhat better with the 300e's, in that era, or not?

I once recorded an average 27mpg on a tank of winter fuel using the MB factory method, commuting on fairly flat well maintained roads, after a tuneup. Mostly what I returned during the time I was actively recording mileage was 25-26.

Less displacement, lighter chassis should equal better mileage.
The M103 W124s I've owned have been in the low twenties for trip mileage.
Your mileage sounds reasonable to me.

Since the gauge does not work, I am a bit anal about filling up, resetting the trip odo and calculating the mileage.
With cruise control set at 75 on the interstate I've gotten 27 mpg. Typically with a mix of interstate and local driving its around 23.
If I'm sledding around enjoying the 5 speed its more like 18.

What do you gents average in city?

I've not tracked my fuel economy recently but I found an old spreadsheet:
This would have been a mild mix of highway/city driving.

I like your price of fuel you bought! It seems to be going in the opposite direction from that around here.

Ha I wish it was like that too. I was pretty ok with 2.50/gallon.
