				Engine replacement

I did a compression test today and found 2 cylinders with 30 to 60 compression which is very bad. The car isn't worth 5 -6 thousand it would cost for a overhaul so I may look for a used engine replacement or any less costly solution to this issue. 87 560 sec gas V8 0 120 110 115 60 112 120 115 front Last edited by TTravis; 03-14-2012 at 11:30 AM. Is that a 1965 33 hp Johnson Seahorse outboard engine?

If those two cylinders are next to each other, it's likely just to be a blown head gasket. If it's an M104, that's even more likely.

speaking of, how likely is a m104 headgasket to blow again? i have receipts of mine done, and with cylinder #5 replaced.. don't know if its to mb spec, was probably just redone at a machine shop.. not trying to threadsteal or anything
