87 300E too much gas
I am having a fuel problem with my 87 300E. It will start and run for about 20 seconds and then cut off. It is getting too much gas and flooding the engine and then shuts off. The smell of gas is very strong.
I have replaced the entire throttle body, the plugs, wires, fuel injectors, O2 sensor, rotor, cap, temperature control sensor. Before the throttle body was replaced it was very hard starting but once it warmed up was fine for the rest of the day. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am going broke on all these new parts. I would guess the fuel pressure regulator is at fault...but I don't want you to continue to throw parts at the problem...
...do the diagnosis one step at a time...fuel pumps on, fuel relay operational, fuel injectors and seals okay, etc. etc.
