S500 W220 Power Trunk Lid
Hi all,
Sorry if this is already here but I searched and couldn't find it. I have an S500 2002 w220, Trunk does not open or close, I took it to the dealer to see what the deal was and it turns out the car has two motors that power the trunk lid and one of them needed to be replaced, at a cost of a bout $2200 for the repair I really really don't want to do it. My question is.... can i convert the lid into a conventional lid and how? Any ideas will help, thank you all

I think it's becoming clear that owning an S class Mercedes is not cheap, converting it will not be cheaper.

I would check with Phil here in the Parts section. The electric cooling fan on the W220 dealer replacement $13xx.xx + labor. Phil X referenced the motor, new plug and play. 30 min install <$100
