Today I took my Mercedes to a shop for a new headliner later they call and told me the car won't start but the lights all come on ok so it not the Batt that all I know for now but I thinking a week or so ago my trunk wasn't close good and it wouldn't let the car crank at all the key was dead I now thinking do Mercedes have something that keep them from starting if the doors or something is not close good ? This car alway start when you hit the key.

No, it will start if the doors or trunk are open, so I would think of probably a bad ignition switch or starter, going to have to find out if you are getting a crank signal at the starter, or just jump power to the solenoid on the starter, to find out.
