I need help with solving two car problems on 1997 S500 119engine
My 1997 S500 119 engine cranks but will not start. Everything seems to be working the battery, lights, has gasoline, it sounds when cranking that has plenty of juice but does not turn on. The fuel pressure regulator was changed about a year ago. I have no issue with car until now
A second issue probably not related to the main problem above, is that fuses #11 and 21 keep blowing up. Fuse # 21 is a 20 amp and controls heating wipe/wash system, outside mirror, tr, oil cooler, automatic control. Fuse # 11 is also 20 amp and control Window lift, luggage compartment light, Central locking system, ceiling/reading light, rear Not sure what to do about the fuses problems my main concern is to get the car started. Any suggestions ideas about how to start will be more than welcome

Your car has a coded key. If the car was subject to excessively high voltages (i.e. corroded battery cable) there is a possibility that the computer was fried. Could also be a bad key. Do you have any other keys?
Have you pulled the codes? that would be a start.

Which computer will that be? Yes i did tried different keys but that has not help I do have a problem with fuses # 21 and #11 shortening out, would something like that fried the computer? I believe i trace the problem of fuse # 21 to a bad outside mirror (passenger side) apparently every time i tried to adjusted it would blown the fuse so I just disconnected that mirror and the problem went away. The problem with # 21 i trace to the central locking pump underneath the rear rt passenger seat which has not been working for a few weeks but apparently was shortening out the 21 fuse, so I disconnected and that solved the problem for the moment My car is still death I can crank it but no start. I cant or I don't see any codes since I can get it to start is a catch 22 dilemma, unless there is a way to pull the codes or diagnose with out starting the car? Thank you I appreciated your input

The anti theft does not disconnect because of the dead central locking pump.

Well it apparently does for my car 97 S500 I did disconnect both electrical connections to the central locking pump and for me the anti theft was not longer operational, if I connected again the the anti theft would become operational.
I really do not believe at this point that the problem with the car cranking but not starting is with the anti theft system. Pictures of CLPump

Disconnecting the central locking pump does not disconnect the anti theft alarm.
