Power window noise

I get a clunk on occasion when I'm closing the driver's window on my '89 300CE. It happens always in the last inches of travel. Would this most likely be a window regulator on its way out? The coupe side glass is larger than that of the W124 sedans so I would expect these to fail sooner due to the extra weight.

I suspect the regulator. Mine was klunking for a while before it stopped raising the window all the way closed.

A regulator cured everything, except, for a while I had to press the window UP half of the switch to lower the window, and vice-versa.

It was wired backwards... probably by ME, but now, it's all correct.
