Gear shift module maybe? Has anything been spilled in the area of the gear selector?

nothings been spilled it was working just fine 2 days ago.. i just jump started the car at the relay in under the hood at the passenger side from 30 to 87 and i manually moved the shifter to reverse and it did work the car did turned on and car did move, but the shifter indicator wont show park reverse ect. And when i put it on park again it wont move, and i have to move the shfter manually. But the car only starts if i jump started from 30 to 87 from the relay.

Sounds like the gear selector module is not telling the EZL what gear it is in which IIRC will keep it from starting.

I would hope the brake light switch not working would not keep the car from running but sometimes I underestimate the genius of the German engineering design team at MB.

I can't say exactly for your model but on the late model S classes around here they have to go to the dealer to get a new gear shift module because it is part of the drive authorization (security) system. I think it retails for around $700 in that application. It is actually pretty easy to change out on the S class cars.
