Tinting Double Glazed Windows

One of the local glass tinting shops I got a quote from is telling me that I cannot tint the "sealed unit" glass in my 1992 300SEL. Is there something I should know about this? What's the problem with this?

What you should know is that the tinter is out.

Ask your dealer who they'd suggest, or a body shop, they know who does good work.

Yeah, don't they just put the tinted film on the inside of the glass window? Who cares if it has two panes of glass or one...

If they are still unsure, you may want to find a more experienced shop.
