1994 E320 Headrest motor (Pass. side)
Could someone tell me on how to access the headrest motor? I suspect the cable or gear assembly is worn out. The headrest on my car will not go up or down. I can hear the motor run when I pressed on the switch. There is also a clicking sound when the raise button is pressed and no sound of motor running when I tried to lower it even more. The headrest is in the down position.
I tried the search button but I can't find of any topic on how to access or remove the motor. Any help is very much appreciated. |

Thanks CJ for sending me the instruction on how to access the headrest motor. A found the problem which was'nt really critical. The gear on the rail overshoot it in the downward direction (out of the rail gear). The repair process was simple, I disassemble the gear housing and reposition the gear in the rail. The only hard part was the removal of the backrest cover aside from the two screws that hold the buttom part. You have to fry out both the side seats cover with the flat tip screw driver.

CJ....
I know this is an old post, but you still have the PDF file still available discussing how to remove seatback and fix the headrest? Thanks
