Question about brake bleeding on ABS/ASR equipped W124 E320
Is there any special procedure or tool required to bleed the brakes on an ABS/ASR equipped 94 w124 E320. I'm planning on flushing as much of the old fluid out as possible (as I have NO idea when the P.O. did it last) and just want to make sure I do it correctly as I have searched/read that there is a different procedure for ABS equipped cars, but haven't found what that procedure is. TIA for your help!

Flushing and bleeding are two different things. Flushing is what you are talking about with no air in the system. You can do it the two man method or with a pressure bleeder.
Bleeding is when there is air in the system that you are trying to get out. In that case you need a really good pressure bleeder or do the two man method with the engine running to get the aid of the booster. Either way, make sure you keep the reservoir full of fluid in both chambers. You have to fill enough to allow fluid to run over into the front chamber which by the way feeds the rear brakes. Good luck, |

ASR system has a port on the ASR pump that has to be bled .
Start eng Open SP /ASR port and bleed til no air Pump will come on for 30 secs Wait til pump cycles off before turning eng off. Recheck fluid levels |

Would the ASR bleeder be where the blue cover is? Also, is there a separate fill or reservior for the ASR (what kind of fluid does it use? brake fluid?)? |

Arthur, or anyone else who know:
Is the ASR port done before or after the 4 wheels? Thanks.
