W201 Seat Cushion Swap Question?

Hey everyone,

I just have a quick question. Tell me if the following is possible..

On my W201 I wish to swap the lower seat cushion with my passenger side seat. I eventually plan to have the cushion redone so I figured I can take it out and just take the cushion to the shop and not that whole seat.

So what I want to do is

1) Unbolt both seats from car
2) Position motor carriage section to reveal the screws that hold it to the cushion frame.
3) Remove bolts

Now here is where my memory gets foggy. I don't recall how the back part is secured to the rest of the chair.. It is not secured to the bottom cushion motor carriage... I know that much.

I'll have to take a closer look and see...

Edit: looks like the best way to do this is to just sit down with both seats and take them apart and photograph everything. I'll do that one of these days this week and post up the results. My search did not reveal too many threads with pictures of the process

it is pretty basic, the back rest should be held by 2 to 4 bolts on the sides.

re-did my 911, es300 and lx450, all held by 1 to 2 bolts on each side.

hint, raise the seat and center it before removal
