Nice. I did an H4 halogen upgrade to my 300D not long ago. They don't throw any more or better light than the Sylvania Silverstars I was running before, but I anticipate longer bulb life and cheaper replacements of an H4 bulb vs. a souped up (with consequently shorter life) sealed beam.

Now all you need to do is get rid of the stock housing and upgrade to some aftermarket ebay projectors and you should be good to go. The aftermarkets make a world of difference when it comes to superior light output over the MB stock headlights.

It appears that the OP has the factory xenon HID option, so why go aftermarket?
Most aftermarket projectors, especially from EBAY are junk !

If they are factory HIDs they are probably a D2R bulb which is designed to work without a projector unlike a D2S projector bulb. Putting them in a projector wouldn't really do you any good. Also any eBay "projector" headlight doesn't really have projectors they just has a lense that screws up your light pattern.

Leave it be.

I think the lenses should be glass. When I ordered mine they were glass, but I had to add the projectors later because I couldn't find an option for the w201 at the time that I liked. I have seen a w140 driving around here where I live and they have upgraded to the ebay aftermarkets, looks really good, but I have not seen it at night with the light output. My guess is that unless they have halogen bulbs, the output should be amazing.
