Slight clunking sound under car
Sounds more like a muffled thump. Only happens when accelerating from a stop and it only happens for about 1-2 seconds then its gone. checked both flex discs and they are in good shape. Any ideas?

Engine mount?

No, now I'm thinking this is drive shaft related. Car is smooth at idle, even when giving slight gas. I'm now suspecting 23 year old support shaft bearing.

Sway bar end links are notorious. Easy, cheap fix if that's it.

entire front suspension is less than 6 months old. Rattling is coming from under.....noticeable by center armrest

I was actually referring to rear sway bar. But near center of car could be shift linkage bushing or of course center carrier bearing or u-joint on driveshaft.

check driveshaft bearing if it has one. Also check exhaust pipe and hangers

Drive shaft bearing for sure. I've never done a replacement of one, but it seems straight forward. Actually, the noise could beI better described as a rumbling, but only on acceleration and even then I figured out how to prevent the noise from occurring if I slowly accelerate and once the car shifts into second gear (usually about 5 seconds) then I'm good to go. Anything else I need to change while I'm there? I did front flex disc 2 years ago and its still in great shape (Uro Part), haven't done the rear, but I didn't see any signs of cracking when I last checked about a week ago...however I do have a spare rear disc just in case. all my exhaust hangers are only 2 months old and I added extra support with nylon zip ties, fuel filter was done earlier this month and those rubber hangers were replaced and reinforced with zip ties as well. Transmission mount was replaced 2 years ago, shifter bushing was replaced and tightened up with nylon zip tie last month (yes, I love zip ties they are easy to use, durable, end great for reinforcing those tedious jobs that are a pain to do and they last forever)...I can't think of anything else that might be in that vicinity. Please advise.

Ismalley, I guess you realize that Uro parts are inferior quality (junk). Avoid future purchases, unless you want to replace the same parts frequently.

Actually, I have not had any problems with my Uro part flex disc which was done 2 years ago. The issue is my drive shaft bearing, which I suspect is the original party.

Ismalley, I understand your current problem is the driveshaft bearing. In case you weren't aware just wanted to give you a heads-up about Uro parts so you avoid buying them in the future.

Ok, so I replaced the center bearing and the support coupling. However, I don't know what went wrong, but when I was putting everything back together, the 2 bolts that go into the supports coupling did not go back into the holes. One went back in, but I can turn it and turn it perpetually and it doesn't get any tighter than what it is. The other one did not go back in at all. There are 2 metal pieces that fit into the car frame that have the threads, these are whats damaged and needs to be replaced. There are no part numbers on it. Anyone got any info on this?
