Trans from a 90TE into a 89CE
I sold the trans from my 1990TE to a gentleman that has a 89CE, and apparently there are some electrical connections on the Trans that are not on the car. The gentleman's tech is telling him this will not work, that the trans will never shift properly due to later electronics on the trans that do not exist on the car. If this is not going to work, I need to make arrangements to take the trans back and refund money, as I don't want him wasting his time.
Both trans (90TE and 89CE) are a 722 358

only electronic components
It is not an electronic transmission but there are other electrical components the mechanic is right.

The trans isn't different, they're just "dressed" differently. The externally different parts should be able to swap over. Ideally the valvebody should be swapped too assuming that the original is servicable. I doubt it would be the end of the world if it wasn't swapped.
