Ignition coil replacements
My ignition coil went bad, looking to replace myself. Seems pretty straight forward repair, but I can't seem to find a replacement coil wire, only coil wires with a full set of spark plug wires. I replaced my plugs, caps, rotor 6-8mo ago. Any recommend a place just to purchase wires?

Its not as straight-forward as it sounds. You need to procure a section of bulk coil wire, which is a solid core wire. Cut it to length and crimp 2 end terminals on it, preferrably with the correct crimping tool. The end terminals have a threaded nipple which allows you to screw on the correct wire ends to match your coil and cap. A good Mercedes shop will have the correct tool and parts to make a proper coil wire. Otherwise you're facing an uphill battle.
