Mercedez 300te wagon question

Hello all,
I have a 1993 Mercedes-Benz 300te Wagon, and the windshield wipers blades stopped working tonight. Also, the sunroof would not close, and I am concerned that the motors in them both may have conked out....
At first I thought it was odd that two things would break at once, and assumed it was a fuse, but there were none blown, so I am left confused, and seeking any advice on this!!
I am far from a Mercedes mechanic, and have little knowledge that is of any real use as I just got this car a month ago.
As a result, I am hoping to gain some insight here as to what could cause these two failures, PLEASE, and thanks in advance!!
