Keys and key replacements

Can a dealer order keys for me at a much lower price than if I ordered them myself? I was told to get new keys I have to take the registration to a MB deal and order them. $140 for the main. Is that about the average price?

When you buy a brand new Mercedes, how many keys do you get? 4? 2 Masters or whatever you call them (the ones with the swithblade style retractable key, 1 valet, and 1 that opens all locks but doesn't start the car? How come when most people buy a used MB, they only get 1 main key?

when i bought mine used, i only got one key. i got the master then went to basically the only place in western Washington who can duplicate one and had one made for $40. My other option was to have it ordered from Germany from the dealership which I didn't feel like asking the price on. Right now im just using the master as I don't have much need for the valet or walet key really... and as far as the new MB's go, I wouldn't really know, as I've never been able to afford one.

2 masters(one skeketon for the wallet).And
