Correct camshaft numbers for W126

Hi All,

I referred to the camshaft number list and need some assistance to understand the coding.
My merc sec is the euro type. According to the list engine special version no ., 012 468.01 is applicable to a camshaft number 08/09 and can be used on 117 965 and 117 963.

Does this mean a gen 1 and gen 2 camshaft for a 500 engine can be used interchangeably ?

I have purchased two camshaft with numbers K08 / K09 stamped at the rear.

Would i be able to use it on only the gen 2 , 500 engine or both.

I would appreciate your comments.

Thanks
C
