Almost done just need a little more help guys

I have an 85 280SE grey market that was given to me. i replaced the fuel pump, checked the relays, found and fixed all the vacuum leaks...I also adjusted the idle down to what my ear says sounds normal. It starts fine and runs ok but My question is...When in gear, it lacks power. I have only driven it around the parking lot on my complex. it doesn't die on me but i don't trust it to take it to the corner gas station. A friend mentioned i neededto hook it up to an exhaust gas analyzer to tune the mixture. Will this help the problem i mentioned? Could use a little assisstance here. thanks in advance!

What is the behavior of the car when you rev the engine in park? does it seems normal (RPM increase with no hesitation)? That might give you a clue if you think you might have a fuel delivery problem. Aside from fuel delivery, you might want to have a compression test performed on the engine to see if you are getting even / correct compression in all cylinders.

Plan on the compression check on Monday. The motor revs great. Doesn't sound like there is a fuel issue but i do not know for sure.
