water coming into cabin?

I have a 1987 MB 190E in very good shape. However, recently when I started the car, water came into the cabin. A friend who had a 92 190E said it was the water pump, I'm not convinced any thoughts??

Does the windshield leak at all? My 1980 300sd had the typical water leaks around the bottom condors of the windshield.
