intake manifold mercedes 210
I have developed a vacuum leak between the upper and lower half of the intake manifold on my 2001 E320. Mercedes does not sell the gasket in between the top and bottom half. Does anyone know of an aftermarket source. I don't want to try and pull it apart without knowing if I can get the gasket. Otherwise, my choices are to try to silicon the pieces together or replace the whole intake manifold. I would prefer to avoid those actions. Any help would be appreciated.

There is no gasket, you need to use the M-B engine sealant ( or something like it ). you will also need lower gaskets, and a throttle housing gasket. You should clean out the EGR tube and replace the part and full load PCV hoses while your there.

the manifold joint gaskets are sometimes called plastic gasket or something like that, I believe a strong oil and fuel resistant sealer like engine MB sealant, Gm engine sealant or toyota FIPG can seal it up if its just a metal to metal joint.
