Talking Does anyone want something like this??

Photos of the wood interior I am having done for my w201. These pieces are not complete because the high gloss coating still needs to be applied. the shifter knob was free hand carved and the glove box was also, he even made the little platic latch wooden which I was not expecting . Any type of wood is available in any color stain you want. Anything can be made/fabricated if you provide a drawing or picture of it if it is something that did not come on the car, ie, custom shifter knob or custom design for the center console or dash.

Looking forward to the finished installed photos.
Makes me think a couple of non MB pieces would look neat for my MGB dash.

I'd be interested on getting a price on the "cell phone" compartment door on my '97 CL500
which could be removed and sent to him. Contact me at anziani14@dc.rr.com

I'm interested, but unfortunately probably not going to get to the interior/exterior for 6-8 months. Maybe interested in some sort of drink holder sooner.

reminds me of the coffee table in our living room, but these haven't been scratched up by cats yet.

Very nice work!

Lookin Good!

Do you have any details on the high gloss coating your guy put on the wood? Is it a epoxy finish, multiple coats of lacquer?

Im just wondering because I made a new center console in my car, and was able to match the stain on the new zebrawood veneer perfectly to the original trim pieces.. I used minwax helmsman (indoor/outdoor) urethane as a " just incase" for uv and severe temp changes inside the car. Just cant get a super gloss out of it. Maybe a marine epoxy will work.?

not sure what he used, but he said he had to redo it twice because he got a smear on it from trying to remove some debris.

That looks fantastic. My 300sd needs that. It needs it real hard.

More wood pics

Here are more photos of the interior wood trim. Sorry my phone cam is not the greatest. I got the center piece below the a/c unti completed. It is the area that originally held the 6 cassette tapes which has been converted into a compartment with a lifting retractable door for my a/v switcher for my front/rear cameras. I think I am satisfied with the upgrade and am actually gonna hold off on having the steering wheel and door handles done.
