Big Time thanks for OVP relay on '86 300E
Real strange stuff was happening...It was having a difficult time cold starting and seemingly at random the ANTILOCK light would illuminate. When it did the idle would drop way below normal and at stops would just put put put along (almost stalling). Also at random would be the flash of the O2 sensor light...and then everything would just go back to normal...and then back again. This was totally bizare until I read your forum and targetted the overvoltage protection relay (OPR). Also on this forum, I learned where the relay was and how to replace it. I called the MB dealer parts ($83 + tax), then called a specialized import supplier ($45 + tax). Then plopped that baby in right in the parking lot....everythings fine....you folks saved me lots of time and a couple hundred bucks....thanks
