Star washers on electric fuel pumps - innies or outties?

There were some star washers missing from the electrical connections on the 1991 560SEL when I removed the fuel pumps. Question; when reinstalling the fuel pump assembly do the star washers go on first, then the electrical connector (eyelet attached to the wire), then the nut? Or, does the electrical connector go first, then star washer, then the nut is last? Thank you for your help, it is appreciated.
