1986 300e sending units on the head?
I used to know this, but can't remember at this moment.
On the cylinder head there are two sending units: one with a red collar (smaller diameter) and one with a green collar (larger diameter). What are these? Thanks, AL

I can give you a little help, but I can't solve the entire puzzle.
If I remember correctly; closest to the firewall signals the ECM, the next one has two vacuum lines and manages gas recirculation, then one controls the auxiliary fan for over heating, and the last one is for the temperature gauge. I think the ones your referring to are for the temp gauge and the aux fan; but I can't remember which is which. |
