A/C FAN NOT WORKING
NEED HELP GUYS.1996 E320 . EVERYTHING WORKS ON MY AC EXECPT .THE A/C FAN IN FRONT THE ENG. I HOOKED DIRECT POWER TO IT AND IT RUNS FINE . SO WHAT SWITCH OR REALY SHOULD I BE LOOKING FOR THATS NOT WORKING.

As far as I know, it needs the A/C pressure switch to be active.
Are you sure your A/C is working at full potential? The pressure switch should be found somewhere near the A/C compressor on the high pressure line (I belive). I don't have the diagram in my head any-more, must have misplaced it up there, but believe there is a relay in between. So, pressure switch activates relay, relay closes the circuit to the fan. Have you had a look in your relay box and checked the fuses too. The fuses should be marked as such inside the lid unless lost. OK I LOCATED THE PRESSURE SW. ON THE SIDE OF THE DRYER ACCUMALATOR. IF I AM RIGHT THERE ALSO A THREE WIRE TEMP SENSOR ON THE TOP.SO I JUMPED THE 2WIRE PRESSURE SW.NO CHANGE.SO IF THERE IS A RELAY.ANYONE KNOWS WHERE IT IS AND HOW TO CHECK IT. |
